Overview
This is a discussion about how Nucleotide Nutrition has played a leading role in showing how a once neglected nutrient in human nutrition is now considered by a growing number of scientists to have conditional essentiality. Rachel will also show a few slides covering how Nucleotide Nutrition has harnessed nucleotide power to achieve significant results in a range of clinical trials covering Colds & Flu, IBS, Stress, and DNA repair.
Speaker Bio
Rachel Hoyle BSc, a science graduate, has pioneered the development of special nucleotide-based products since the 1990’s in collaboration with Dr Peter Köppel, renowned Swiss nucleotide researcher. Her initial responsibility was to develop natural products that reduce the dependency on antibiotics in animal nutrition. More recently, Rachel has devoted her time to the research and development of nucleotide supplements for human health. Her company, Nucleotide Nutrition Ltd, were awarded innovation grants to fund clinical research. These clinically tested products, which are all based on a formula of purified pyrimidine and purine nucleotides; the Nutri-tide formula, are now widely available to health practitioners and the consumer.

Speaker Bio
Alyssa Reid - is Head of Partnerships & Business Development and loves working closely together with healthcare practitioners (and people in general!)
Mohsin Laginaf - is Head of Operations and manages all the daily nitty gritty to ensure everything is moving smoothly.
Alyssa and Mohs are good friends that met during an entrepreneur programme in Scotland. Alyssa struggled with health issues including fibromyalgia, sleep issues, weight, mood and digestion. Mohs was struggling with moderate to severe IBS which was affecting his overall health.
Both Alyssa and Mohsin are avid researchers who happened to find that gut health could be the root problem to their health issues. After much research, they found that prebiotic chicory root fibre (inulin) is the cornerstone to good gut and overall health, and experienced significant improvements when taking chicory root fibre powder. They also experienced the side effects of a lot of gas and bloating that tend to go part and parcel with prebiotics. When talking one day, they said, 'this is so good - we should bottle it!' but make it easier to digest, and simple and enjoyable for people to take.
Which lead them to develop ió fibrewater - which took close to 3 years to develop, with 27 recipes - through a pandemic, and launch their new company - The Prebiotic Company. The result was the innovation award-winning ió fibrewater. Made with a blend of a proprietary blend of soluble fibres, including chicory root fibre, 2 flavours, and a product that has a clean, green label regarding all-natural ingredients, no added sugar, and low in calories and carbs.

Richard Stead of KIB Healthcare - An Introduction to OSCN Ions
Saturday Sep 10, 2022
Saturday Sep 10, 2022
Overview
A discussion on the science behind OSCN- ions and their performance in supporting gut balance and immunity against bacteria and viruses. OSCN- ions are an anti-microbial agent produced in our own body’s secretions, which help to protect against bacteria, fungi, yeast and protozoa. The ions work by removing unwanted microbes from the gut where excess occurs. We will share the scientific studies on OSCN- ions and their performance in supporting a healthy gut and providing immunity against bacteria and viruses.
Speaker Bio
Richard Stead established KiB Healthcare in 2011 when researching hypothiocyanite ions and their positive effect in fighting bacteria. With a rich background in chemistry and a strong interest in gut health, Richard set about manufacturing KiB products to nourish the gut and help the rebiosis process. Now, KiB Healthcare manufactures KiB®500, as well as KiB®Pre, and is the distributor of two more naturally derived products, all related to improving gut health and helping with the transformation from gut dysbiosis to rebiosis. The basis of KiB Healthcare’s philosophy and technologies is “Nature has the answer: chemistry is the key™”.

Saturday Aug 20, 2022
Overview
Magnesium supports over 300 processes in the body and is used throughout clinical practice. A critical mineral, there is emerging evidence that confirms a significant proportion of the population in the western world are not achieving the recommended daily magnesium intake - a deficiency contributing to various health issues. To fully understand the essential role it can play and how we can use it effectively, Phil will discuss the impact magnesium can have in a variety of health conditions, and discuss the different forms of magnesium and with excellent supporting scientific research.

Speaker Bio: Amit Oberoi
The Resilience Factor is the result of years of research by neuroscientist, global risk practitioner and ex-sportsperson, Amit Oberoi.
“I have seen first-hand the effects of burnout and mental ill-health. With a goal to help people reach their best, I made the decision to collaborate with other scientists to research the concept of resilience and performance. Life isn't easy. It’s impossible to live deeply and not feel pain or go through times of crisis. What’s not obvious is the crucial role that pain, suffering and crisis play in the process of growth and evolution. While some people fall apart and never make it through difficult times, many others emerge from conflict and turmoil renewed and transformed and with a new lease of life.
I wanted to understand why people coped so differently.
Amit worked with global industry experts on the question of what resilience looks like in the brain. Understanding the neurobiological mechanisms that contribute to resilience in humans is the key to developing better-targeted interventions for strengthening resilience. After much research and support from leading minds in the industry, I formulated an approach to determine what resilience is and how an individual can: Assess it, Act upon it and thus Achieve, ultimately enhancing performance in every part of their life."
"This is The Resilience Factor.”
